How much digital marketing is sufficient – Analysis for a client

Team Sukaone recently met with a client who is about to launch an activity center in Delhi. After interaction we came up with a plan to first establish a strong online presence and then work on the testimonials and reviews. Here are the details about the plan.

Strong online presence

Any startup or established business needs an online presence. The least is just having identity created on the various social media platforms. In case of our client, we stuck to the winning combo of Facebook Business Page connected with Instagram Business Account & Google Maps location marking using Google My Business.

Phase One tasks list

Creation of various social media accounts. This task involves simultaneous use of two laptops and two smartphones, one each which will be of the client. The client will be shown the various steps of creating the FB business page and filling in of relevant information like phone, address, working hours, etc. Once the page is created, it needs to be shared on WhatsApp and invitation for likes need to be send from client phone to all friend list. Also the client has to be added as one of the page admins.

Instagram Account needs to be first created and then converted to a business account. Relevant contact information including address has to entered. Once complete it has to be linked with the recently created FB page. Finally, new location will be created on Google My Business website using the laptop and filling in all the relevant information. Also verification process needs to begin on day one.

Total work listed above will take approx three hours to setup. Some time will be consumed in setting up or resetting passwords and related tech issues.

Phase Two task list – Reviews and testimonials

Reviews and Testimonials are the cornerstone of any business. But how to get a review for a business or establishment, even before its launch. For this client we have decided to ask the people who have been associated with this venture to put in reviews. for example because this is an activity center, there will be courses taught on behalf of a few academies. The directors or owners will write a review as to why they have considered this place to tie up with. Similarly, the teachers or instructors who will come to teach will also put in a review about the course which they are going to teach here. Parents who have shown interest to enroll their wards once the activity center begins and the people who are redeveloping the premises are also prospective reviewers. We shall also tap in the social circle of the client.

The same data will be used to populate the basic posts on both social media platforms. The content posted will be an equal mix of ads, photos, posters and relevant data. Previous work of centers which have been tied up with or the instructors can also be used and appropriately credited. Each course will gets its dedicated highlight on Instagram. Courses posts will have a standard format and there will be ten posts in each course highlight with the following information

  • Course name, description and advantage
  • Duration & fees
  • Eligibility
  • Tie up with which academy
  • Details and qualifications of instructor
  • Benefits of doing the course
  • Pictures & Videos
  • Testimonials

Each of the point mentioned above will have one post each. Once all the posts of one course is ready, a single post for multiple photos will be created and put in highlights. This post will be boosted as paid campaign.

The entire phase two will be conducted over a period of 15 days where meeting with the client will not be needed. As per specific request of the client, digital marketing and paid promotion will be done by us for the courses post. This is because we strongly believe that this activity center will on its own generate interest in that geographical area just by word by mouth. We shall go for an organic plan right from day one and pockets or phases of paid promotions.
