A digital assistant is not an artist but a creator

Dictionarily, an artist is a person who practices an art form. Artist is a skilled performer. A creator on the other hand is someone who makes something new. Creator has to make something new every time. That is why Instagram has three accounts, personal, creator and business. A digital assistant is a creator, always giving you new ideas or posting something on your behalf.

In absence of a digital assistant you will have to do a lot of extra work. On social media, we need three types of people to outsource work. An artist will create ads or posters for you, but will hand over to you as it is. You will still need to post it on your page or Instagram profile. A lot of people wrongly assume that a digital marketing expert will create posts and also post them on social media. NO!!! A digital marketing expert can only carry out paid promotions and are trained only for that. Of course many so called experts market themselves that they can do anything.

There are a lot of hidden admin activities which the digital assistant checks on. Adding new members and their background checks in a group. Responding to messages and queries, updating data and posts. Digital assistants also have to coordinate with brand owners and create posts after understanding the idea.

But the most important work of a Digital assistant is understanding the brand and creating new ideas. Not all ideas will work, leave alone achieve the desired results. But still they have to keep coming up new ones, almost every week. An assistant has to keep abreast of the latest developments in the brand and business and align the marketing plan accordingly. Sometimes the brand owners are engrossed in business development. That time the digital assistant has to come up with a complete strategy to formulate a marketing plan with the running of operations.
